宅地建物取引士

takuchi tatemono torihikishiたくちたてものとりひきし

Licensed transaction specialist

The national real-estate license, usually shortened to takken-shi. Only a takken-shi may deliver the mandatory pre-contract explanation of important matters, and every brokerage office must employ a minimum number of them. Ask who your takken-shi is — it is the closest thing the deal has to a licensed gatekeeper.
