丁目
chōmeちょうめ
City district block
A numbered subdivision of an urban town name — for example Minami-Azabu 3-chōme. In a jūkyo hyōji address the pattern is chōme–ban–gō (district–block–building number). The registry's lot numbers for the same area follow their own, separate numbering.
