印紙税

inshizeiいんしぜい

Stamp duty

A documentary tax paid by affixing a revenue stamp to the sale contract, scaled to the price — for example ¥10,000 on a contract between ¥10 million and ¥50 million at current reduced rates. Small in the scheme of things, but it is a real tax and an invalid stamp is the seller's and buyer's joint problem.
