確定測量
kakutei sokuryōかくていそくりょう
Confirmed boundary survey
A survey in which every adjoining owner (and the road authority) signs off on the boundary lines — the gold standard, producing a 確定測量図. It costs several hundred thousand yen and takes months, which is why cheap rural land is often sold without one; know which kind of survey drawing you are being shown.
