Certificate of final inspection
Proof that the completed building passed its final inspection and matches the approved plans. A large share of older houses never obtained one, historically inspection was widely skipped, which can complicate loans, renovations needing new permits, and institutional resale. Its absence is common, but you should know before you buy.
