マンション

Condominium

A false friend: in Japan a "mansion" is a unit in a concrete apartment building, owned under the unit-ownership system. Sturdier construction and better locations than apāto, with monthly management and repair-reserve fees. Check the building's management records as carefully as the unit itself.
