築年数

chikunensūちくねんすう

Building age

Years since completion — 築30年 means built 30 years ago. On paper, wooden houses depreciate to near zero in around 22 years (the tax service life), which is why old kodate are effectively priced as land. Actual condition varies enormously with maintenance; the number tells you the code era, not the state of the roof.
